WATCH: Shubman Gill Leads Team India's Stump-mic Antics by Bringing Back This Age-old Meme

Team India’s stump-mic antics were on show yet again as this time it was Shubman Gill who brought back an age-old meme which ran riot on social media.

Gill who was positioned close to the batter was seen wearing his protective gear and walking up to his position. There he was seen telling his teammates around of the age-old meme regarding fellow teammate and fast-bowler, Mohammed Siraj.

“Mohammed Siraj has an official ID, everything else is fake”, said the star Indian batter.

This meme is an old video clip of Siraj where he can be seen saying the same thing as previously mentioned which went viral on social media a long time ago. Earlier Rishabh Pant was also seen reacting to the same meme during a video with the popular content creator, Tanmay Bhat.

Going back to Gill, the star batter had a fine outing against Bangladesh in Chennai where he scored an unbeaten century to help India post a mammoth target for the visitors.

As far as the Test match is concerned, Team India went on to take the win within the fourth day’s play. It was Chennai’s own, Ravichandran Ashwin who stole the show. In the first innings, he was the pick of the Indian batters scoring a fine century to set up India’s win. Later in the second innings, it was with the ball where Ashwin stood out as he finished with six wickets to seal India’s win by 280 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series.

Now India will travel to Kanpur to play the second and final game of the two-match series. The Indian team will go with an unchanged squad, as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) following the win in Chennai while the playing 11 for the Kanpur Test is yet to be announced. The game is scheduled to take place from September 27 through October 1.

The Indian team will have more Tests following the series. They are set to play New Zealand at home for a three-match series followed by their tour to Australia for the Border-Gavsakar Trophy later this year.
