A post titled “Yeji from ITZY and Sunwoo from THE BOYZ Look Like They’re Dating” went viral on September 21. Since then, the post has received close to 100,000 views.
The post provides very little evidence of the supposed couple dating, despite its headline. The user really asserts that since the two have a mutual admiration for a highly well-known character in Korea, they must be dating.
Yeji stated: “Han Gyo Don towel. LOL. “It’s so cute, lol. “Of all the things I’ve bought today…He’s the person I love most~”
Along with pictures of Sunwoo buying merchandise from the character’s store, Yeji’s bubble comment regarding the character was included in the post, leading others to deduce that the idols were probably dating.
“This was Yeji’s Bubble message on May 21 and the photos show Sunwoo’s actions in September. I think Stray Kids’ Hyunjin introduced them,” wrote a user.
In response to the post, the user received harsh criticism from internet users. Some even threatened to report the author for disseminating false information.
