Harris promises to debate

US Vice President and Democratic Party's presidential candidate Kamala Harris has agreed to hold a second debate with former President and Republican Party's candidate in this election Donald Trump as part of her presidential election campaign and has accepted the invitation from CNN on October 23 but Mr Trump believes that it is 'too late.'

“I would gladly accept the second presidential debate on October 23. I hope Mr Donald Trump will join me,” Ms Harris said on X.
A separate statement by Ms Harris' campaign manager Jen Dillon indicated Mr Trump should have no problem agreeing to hold a debate on the CNN platform. Also, neither the former US President nor his campaign team have yet agreed to CNN's invitation to hold another debate just 12 days before the next presidential election on November 5.
Mr Trump believes it is too late to hold a new debate with his rival Ms Harris.

“The problem with another debate is that it's too late. The voting has already started. She had a chance to do it with Fox. You know Fox invited us and I waited and they turned it down. But now she wants to debate with CNN right before the election because she's losing badly,” Mr Trump said at a meeting with supporters in North Carolina.

Earlier, the two rival leaders met on stage in Philadelphia as part of a debate organised by ABC News.
It is noteworthy that the presidential elections in America will be held on November 5.
