You will not get a chance to buy MG Comet and ZS EV at such a low price again, customers will save lakhs of rupees in BaaS program

Car News Desk – MG Motor India has launched a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program for Comet and ZS EV. MG Windsor has recently been launched under this scheme. After the launch of this program, people can now buy a car without a battery and use the battery by renting it. With the inclusion of Comet and ZS EV in this program, it has become more affordable than before.

This is the price of MG Comet and ZS EV
MG Comet has been included in the BaaS program, after which its starting ex-showroom price has now become Rs 4.99 lakh. Its battery will cost Rs 2.5 per kilometer. At the same time, the starting ex-showroom price of MG ZS EV has become Rs 13.99 lakh. You will have to pay Rs 4.5 per kilometer for its battery. In this program, the charging prices will be different from the battery rent. If you buy MG Comet under the BaaS program, then you will get it for Rs 2 lakh less, while ZS EV will be available to you for Rs 4.99 lakh. However, the company has not announced detailed variant wise prices of any car without battery.

You can buy a car even without a BaaS program
Regarding bringing this program, MG is saying that the BaaS program will reduce the initial acquisition cost of the EV, while it also reduces the long-term cost. At the same time, both Comet and ZS EV are not available for purchase as before, that is, if you do not want to pay any rent for its battery, then you will have to buy it at the old price. In this way, you will have to pay Rs 6.99 lakh for Comet and Rs 18.98 lakh for ZS EV.

What is a BaaS program
The BaaS program offered by MG is a battery rental scheme, but it is a finance scheme backed by four specific third-party financiers. People have to pay for it through pre-payment or loan. At the same time, people will have to pay separately for the battery on a rental basis. Recently MG has included four financiers, including Bajaj Finance Limited, HeroFin Corp, VidyutTech Services Private Limited and EcoFi and Autovert Technologies Private Limited.
