2 accused arrested for placing a pillar on railway track, was there a conspiracy to overturn the express?

Rampur. In the case of placing electric poles on the railway track in Rampur, UP, the Government Railway Police has arrested two accused Sunny alias Sandeep Chauhan and Bijendra alias Tinku. Both of them are accused of trying to overturn an express train by placing an iron pole on the railway track on the night of September 18.

According to the police, these accused stole a pole from near the track and left it on the track after hearing the sound of the train and ran away. At the time of the incident, the loco pilot of the Naini Jan Shatabdi Express going from Dehradun to Kathgodam applied emergency brakes and saved the train from an accident.

There are already 16 criminal cases registered against Sandeep Chauhan and 2 against Tinku. Both are residents of Bilaspur police station area of ​​Rampur district. On receiving information about this incident, there was a stir in the railway and police administration. Railway and police officials reached the spot and took stock of the incident.

Rampur GRP had filed a report against unknown persons and started investigation. Moradabad SP Railway had formed a special team to investigate this matter. SP Railway Ashutosh Shukla said that the train driver saw the pillar in time, due to which no accident occurred.
