New Delhi: Leaving something that has been your passion from childhood is tough. The story of Sarvesh Shashi is similar. Vice-captain of the Tamil Nadu junior cricket team once, Sarvesh had a dream of playing in the cash-rich Indian Premier League and eventually for the Indian senior team. But Sarvesh had another passion too – yoga. Despite being an official net bowler for Rajasthan Royals and Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the IPL, Sarvesh struggled to break into the final squads of any franchises.

It was at the same time he decided to follow his other passion. Little did Sarvesh realize that it would turn out to be his best decision for life as he went on to build a business empire at over Rs 100 crore. Embarking on a new journey, Sarvesh founded Sarva – a company that centres around ancient practices of yoga. Initially known as Zorba, Sarva works on the principle of using yoga, mindfulness and beyond as the tool with which to empower people to lead happier and healthier lives.

The former cricketer broke the notion of yoga is only for elderly people to make it a nationwide sensation. Such was its impact, that celebrity figures like Malaika Arora, Mira Rajput, Shahid Kapoor, Jennifer Lopez, and others, invested in Sarvesh’s vision to make this world a fitter place.

Their association not only gave Sarva a much-needed financial support but also the kind of exposure it needed to reach out to maximum people. Originally started with three studios in Chennai, Sarva made a rapid expansion in health and wellness industry to expand to 90 studios in 32 cities.

To add to that, Sarvesh’s clientele includes Bollywood’s some of the most prominent figures like Janhvi Kapoor, Malaika, Shriya Saran, and Jacqueline Fernandez. In fact, Sarvesh was also named India’s Youngest CEO in the Health and Wellness Sector by Bloomberg and was named by Better Homes & Gardens as one of the Top 10 people in India to watch out for.
