Pant got a big offer after scoring a century against Bangladesh, this IPL team is ready to give crores

Cricket News Desk. Before the mega auction for the Indian Premier League 2025, the Delhi Capitals team has taken a big decision. Delhi Capitals wants to retain its current captain Rishabh Pant at any cost. In this way, the speculation about Pant's future has come to an end. This news has come for Pant after scoring a brilliant century in the ongoing Test match against Bangladesh in Chennai.

This makes it clear that there is no disagreement between Pant and the Capitals management regarding his retention fees. Earlier there were reports that Rishabh Pant might leave Delhi Capitals. Although the BCCI has not yet announced the retention rules, reports have stated that Pant will be the top retention option for Delhi Capitals.

Rishabh Pant's salary in IPL is Rs 16 crore

The decision was taken after a recent meeting between Pant and co-owner Parth Jindal in Mumbai. Pant's current IPL salary is Rs 16 crore, but the figure is expected to increase. Pant took charge of the team after he was ruled out of the 2023 season following an accident last year. In his comeback season, Pant scored 446 runs in 13 matches at an impressive strike rate of 155. He is also the all-time leading run-scorer for the franchise with 3284 runs to his name.

Along with Pant, Kuldeep and Akshar are also on the radar.

It is also believed that apart from Pant, the management has also finalised the retention call. If the BCCI allows retaining more than five players, the franchise is expected to retain Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, possibly in that order, with Jack Fraser-McGurk and Tristan Stubbs as the team's overseas retentions.
