Original director Rahi Anil Barve out of Tumbbad sequel

Mumbai: A sequel to the recently re-released film 'Tumbbad' has been announced, but the original director Rahi Anil Barve has been dropped from the film, leaving fans in shock. Rahi said in a social media post that he had been planning to make a trilogy on a very strange subject for quite some time now. Of these, 'Tumbbad' has already been released and now he will move forward towards making the remaining two films titled 'Pahadpangira' and 'Pakshitirtha'.

He wished actor-producer Sohum Shah and co-director Aadesh Prasad all the best for the sequel of 'Tumbbad'.

However, Tumbbad fans did not like the ad. According to them, Tumbbad is the original Anil Barve creation in terms of concept and actual filming and making a sequel without him would be a foolish move.
