Film Federation of India confirms entry of Indian film 'Missing Ladies' in Oscars 2025

Oscar Awards 2025: A big news is coming out regarding the Oscar Award-2025. The film 'Missing Ladies' has been selected from the list of 29 films of India for nomination for this award. The Film Federation of India has also confirmed this.

Hindi film 'Missing Ladies' has been included in the list of 29 films from India for award nominations. It also includes Bollywood's 'Animal', Malayalam National Award winner 'Attam' and Cannes winner 'All We Imagine Is Light'. The 13-member selection committee headed by Assamese director Jahnu Barua has unanimously decided to include Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao's 'Missing Ladies' in the Best International Film category at the Academy Awards. This film has also defeated Tamil film 'Maharaja', Telugu film 'Kalki 2898 AD' and 'Hanu-Man'. Let us tell you that 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' and 'Article 370' were also included in the list of 29 films.

These actors have the lead role

'Missing Ladies' was directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan. It stars Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava and Nitanshi Goyal in lead roles. Film Federation of India president Ravi Kottarakara introduced the jury members to the media. Last year's entry was Jude Anthony Joseph's film 2018, which did not make it to the shortlist for the 96th Academy Awards.

However, India had the best performance at the 95th Oscars as SS Rajamouli's song Natu Natu from RRR won the Oscar for Best Original Song. Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga's documentary The Elephant Whispers won the award in the Best Documentary (Short) category.
