Legends League Cricket 2024 features a reunion of Suresh Raina and Billy Bowden; Indian batter mimicks crooked finger gesture

The Legends League Cricket 2024 is being played in India, and several legendary players are competing in the tournament. The reunion of Suresh Raina and former international umpire Billy Bowden was one of the most memorable moments. The two showed Bowden’s iconic umpiring gesture. Bowden’s crooked finger for declaring the batters out is still fresh in the minds of the fans.

In one of the ODIs between India and New Zealand in 2013, Raina copied Billy Bowden’s famous crooked finger gesture in front of the renowned official. The incident happened when Bowden raised his finger to declare one of the New Zealand batters out. Raina, who was fielding, couldn’t stop himself from mimicking Billy Bowden’s style. Bowden started laughing after he saw Raina.

Raina is leading Toyam Hyderabad in LLC 2024 and scored 44 runs off 27 balls against Gujarat Greats at Jodhpur’s Barkatullah Khan Stadium. The 37-year-old hit five fours and two sixes and was dismissed by Manan Sharma.

His team posted 172/7 in their 20 overs. Liam Plunkett, Manan Sharma, and Seekkuge Prasanna took two wickets each for Gujarat Greats. GG won the game by eight wickets.
