Jammu-Kashmir elections: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi addressed the public in Surankot, Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. He said, today whatever the opposition wants to get done, that is what happens. Modi government brings a law, we stand in front of them, then they take a U-turn. Narendra Modi ji's confidence is over. We have broken his psychology. Narendra Modi is no longer the same as he was before.

He further said, BJP-RSS people spread hatred and violence in the entire country. They make brothers fight each other in the entire country. Their politics is also based on hatred. We all know that hatred cannot be countered by hatred. Hatred can only be ended by love. This is a battle of ideology. On one side: there are people who spread hatred, on the other side: there are people who open shops of love. We marched from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and then from Manipur to Maharashtra. Its message was the same – hatred does not benefit anyone. That is why we have opened shops of love in every market of hatred.
Rahul Gandhi further said, it has happened many times in India when a Union territory has been made a State. Many times states have been divided into two parts. But this is the first time in history that by making a State a Union territory, the rights of Jammu and Kashmir have been snatched away. That is why we want the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir to be returned. We will put pressure on the government for this and if they do not do it, we will make them do it.
He further said, our thinking was that Jammu and Kashmir should get statehood before the elections. But the BJP government did not do so. After the elections, we will put pressure on the government to give you statehood. Along with this, he said, Narendra Modi has spread unemployment in the entire country. This benefits only two-three billionaires of the country. On one hand, the Modi government waived off the debt of 16 lakh crores of a few billionaires. On the other hand, by implementing demonetization and wrong GST, small traders and MSMEs were destroyed. The result of this is that today jobs are not being created anywhere in the country.
