Hyundai begins export of Xter to South Africa

NEW DELHI New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India on Monday said it has started exports of its entry-level SUV Exterior. The model will now be available to customers in South Africa, making it the eighth model to be exported from India to the country, the automaker said in a statement. The company has started exports of the Exterior by dispatching the first consignment of 996 units to South Africa, it said.

Hyundai already exports models such as the Grand i10 NIOS, Aura, i20, i20 N Line and Venue. “South Africa has always been an important export market for Hyundai,” said Jay Van Ryoo, function head – corporate planning, Hyundai Motor India. He added that most of the models produced at the company's Tamil Nadu plant are exported to South Africa.
