Rumi-1 rocket, successfully launched in Chennai, returns to Earth, a record!

Live Hindi News :- The reusable rocket Rumi-1 designed by private space exploration companies successfully launched 3 small satellites and returned to Earth in 9.8 minutes. Space Zone India and Martin Group have designed a small hybrid rocket Rumi that will launch satellites into space and return to Earth. After this, for the first time in India, a reusable rocket was planned to bring 3 satellites back to Earth after putting them into space through a project called Mission Rumi-2024.

Accordingly, the Rumi-1 rocket with 3 cube satellites was successfully launched yesterday morning at 7.25 am from Pattipulam on ECR Road, Chennai. As planned, after attaining a height of 35 km from the ground, all the three satellites separated from it. Thereafter, the rocket returned safely to the ground with the help of parachutes. It took only 9.8 minutes to complete this overall task. The 3 satellites launched at present will spend up to 8 hours in the sky and will monitor cosmic radiation, ultraviolet radiation, air quality, atmospheric changes and collect related data. Apart from this, 50 small probes were also carried on the rocket to measure vibrations, ozone levels, air toxicity and atmospheric conditions. These will help in improving the understanding of the environment.

The Rumi rocket was developed after one and a half years of work by various experts under the guidance of former ISRO scientists. 6,000 school students were also involved in assembling these rocket components. Speaking at the event via video, Union Aviation Minister Kinrapu Rammohan Naidu said, 'Congratulations to the scientists and engineers of Space Zone India who worked hard for this and the Martin Group who supported this research.'

“The fact that this rocket has been launched and returned to Earth proves the unlimited potential of our next generation of scientists and engineers,” says former ISRO scientist Mylaswamy Annadurai. “My congratulations to Space Zone India and Martin Group for taking India to new heights in space. This project is very environmentally friendly. This will be the beginning of a new revolution in space exploration,” he said. Tamil Nadu Small and Micro Industries Minister Thamo Anparasan, Environment Minister V. Miyanathan, Space Zone India CEO Anand Megalingam, Martin Group Managing Director Jose Charles Martin were present at the event.
