Iconic photo of former umpire Billy Bowden and Suresh Raina goes viral

Mumbai Mumbai. Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina and former umpire Billy Bowden recreated the memorable moment when the left-handed batsman imitated an umpire during an international match. Bowden wrote on his official handle on Instagram how fortunate he feels to be umpiring in India and called Raina one of the nicest people he has ever known.

Bowden is arguably one of the most successful umpires to have retired from international umpiring. The 61-year-old has umpired 84 Tests, 200 ODIs and 24 T20Is from 1995 to 2016. He is currently umpiring in Legends League Cricket.

“Oh yes, Suresh Raina. What a cricketer, one of the nicest people you will ever meet. It is a pleasure to be back umpiring in India, this Indian cricket legend.” Meanwhile, Raina is part of Toyam Hyderabad in the ongoing edition of Legends League Cricket and is leading the team. However, Hyderabad have lost both the matches so far, losing to India Capitals by one run and Gujarat Greats by eight wickets. They will take on Gujarat Greats again on September 28, hoping to register their first win in the tournament.
