Punjab cabinet reshuffle | News India – ..

The expected reshuffle in the Punjab cabinet has finally taken place. This was not possible due to the first Lok Sabha elections and then the by-elections. With this change in the cabinet, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has once again tried to give the message that people who perform better for the party and the state will continue to be brought forward.

Politically, this move of the Chief Minister is being linked to the Municipal Corporations and Municipal Councils as well as Panchayat elections to be held in the state in the next few months. Everyone has their own speculations about the four ministers who resigned from the Punjab Cabinet, but many people are surprised by the resignation of Chetan Singh Joda Majra because he has been counted among the close associates of the Chief Minister Hon.

There was already a discussion going on about the departure of Kartarpur MLA Balkar Singh from the cabinet. Regarding Anmol Gagan Maan, it is believed that the Chief Minister was not very happy with his performance in the department.

The party’s feedback about Jimpa was not very good due to which he had to lose his post. A ministerial post had already fallen vacant after Meet Hayer became an MP. In such a situation, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was waiting for the right time to make changes in the cabinet. Of the five MLAs who have taken oath as ministers, no one had any preconceived notions except Mohinder Bhagat. As per his promise, the Chief Minister has given a place in the cabinet to Mohinder Bhagat, who became MLA after winning the Jalandhar West by-election. He had also made a public announcement about this during the campaign in the by-election. Dr. Ravjot Singh, MLA from Shamchurasi, has also been made a minister.

Earlier, there were two ministers from Doaba, namely Jimpa and Balkar Singh, and now there are two ministers again, only the faces have been changed here. With the inclusion of Sahnewal MLA Hardeep Singh Mundian and Khanna MLA Tarunpreet Singh Saund in the cabinet, Ludhiana district, which is becoming politically important, has got strong representation. With the inclusion of Lehragaga MLA Barinder Kumar Goyal, there are now four ministers from Sangrur district, including the CM.

Departments have also been allotted to the new ministers. People have high expectations from the new ministers that they will take their respective departments to new heights. On the other hand, there were also discussions that a large section of the party is mobilizing against the Chief Minister over his leadership, and Mann is making various efforts to suppress this, but it is not happening. In such a situation, he has taken out such an arrow from his quiver that he has completely succeeded in establishing that he is the supreme leader of the party in the state.
