Kapil Dev issued an open statement on Rohit Virat's resignation

Spots : Indian team veteran Kapil Dev believes that cricketers should play as long as they are fit and enjoy the game. The Indian team won the 2024 T20 World Cup title. After this victory, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirement from T20 International.

Both Rohit and Virat are currently playing the remaining two formats of cricket. In a conversation with sports website My Khel, Kapil Dev (Kapil Dev on Rohit Virat Kohli) expressed his views on Rohit-Virat Kohli being out. To explain his point, he also gave the example of Ravi Shastri and Sachin Tendulkar.

In fact, Kapil Dev said in his statement that fitness helps only till a certain time and you perform. The time between 26 and 34 years is the most important for a cricketer and during this time players also take care of their fitness. Both (Rohit and Virat) have crossed this age and fitness, discipline and workload management will be most important for them to remain in the game in any format.

Kapil Dev further said that Ravi Shastri retired at a very young age while Sachin Tendulkar had a very long career. So how a player thinks in his life, it completely depends on him. My opinion: Stay healthy and keep playing as long as you enjoy the game.
