The IMD i.e. the Meteorological Department has also indicated that favorable conditions are being created for the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from West Rajasthan and Kutch around September 23. The special thing is that the monsoon is departing with a delay of about 10 days.

Monsoon weakened here

According to agency news, the Meteorological Center has said on Saturday that the southwest monsoon has now weakened in many states of the country including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, West Madhya Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, Saurashtra and Kutch, Konkan and Goa, Chhattisgarh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Scattered to light rains may occur over Northwest India this week except West Rajasthan. Heavy to very heavy rains may occur over Konkan and Goa till September 26, over Madhya Maharashtra till September 27, over Marathwada till September 25. Heavy rains are expected over Gujarat region till September 27.

IMD has said that there are chances of rain in Odisha, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand during the next 3 days. Northeast India may also receive moderate rain during the next 2 days. The special thing is that on September 23, the Northeast may have to face heat and humidity.

The Meteorological Department has informed on Monday that Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh may receive light to moderate rainfall this week. At the same time, there are chances of rain in Madhya Pradesh during the next 7 days. There may be heavy rain in Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh till 26 September and in Madhya Pradesh till 27 September.

Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal may receive rain this week. South interior Karnataka may receive heavy rains till September 23, Coastal Karnataka, Rayalaseema, North interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe on September 23 and 24, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam till September 25.
