India is set to launch its first air train, an Automated People Mover (APM), at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, by the end of 2027. This new development is expected to provide seamless connectivity between the airport’s Terminals 1, 2, and 3, reducing the need for passengers to rely on shuttle buses.

The air train will connect Terminal 1 with Terminal 2 and 3 through a 7.7 km route, which includes stops at Aerocity and Cargo City. This will eliminate the cumbersome need for passengers to board buses between terminals, especially those traveling from the city side.
