Cricketer David Warner set to make Telugu film debut with ‘Robinhood’

Former Aussie cricketer David Warner may have retired from international cricket, but it looks like he is gearing up for a second innings — in Telugu cinema!

Warner, whose love for Telugu cinema is no secret, looks all set to make his Telugu film debut with a cameo in Nithiin’s upcoming flick Robinhoodsay reports.

Directed by Venky Kudumula, who’s behind hits such as Let's go and Bheeshmathe film has already got fans buzzing.

Warner’s love for Telugu films

Social media is having a field day with snaps of Warner filming his scenes in Australia, ramping up the excitement for his debut.

The flamboyant former opener is known to regularly post TikTok videos and Instagram Reels, hilariously recreating famous dance moves, dialogues, and scenes from Telugu blockbusters such as Pushpa and Sarileru Neekevvaru.

He’s never been shy about showing his love for Telugu films or Hyderabad, recently giving the city a shout-out in an Instagram story.

Fans can’t wait

Warner’s role in Robinhood looks pretty locked in — he’s now following both Nithiin and director Venky Kudumula on Instagram, adding more fuel to the fire.

Telugu fans, who’ve adored Warner for his viral videos, can’t wait to see him on the big screen.

On the casting front, Sreeleela has reportedly stepped in as the female lead, replacing Rashmika Mandanna. Her role was revealed in a poster on her birthday.

Nithiin, meanwhile, is juggling films such as Tammudu and Robinhoodwhile Sreeleela is busy with a packed schedule including Ustaad Bhagat Singh and RT75.
