New Delhi: Pakistan pacer Mohammad Hasnain surprised everyone with his sensational over while  playing for Panthers against Markhors led by Mohammad Rizwan in Pakistan’s ongoing Champions Cup on Tuesday, September 24. Hasnain delivered a double-wicket maiden over and rattled the Markhor’s top order.

Markhors won the toss and chose to bat first against Panthers in Faisalabad. However, they didn’t get the desired start because of Hasnain’s masterclass. After Ali Raza got the first wicket by dismissing Markhors opener Haseebullah Khan cheaply on a duck in the 2nd over, Hasnain destroyed the opposition’s batting line-up in the 3rd over.

The speedster dismissed Markhors opener Kamran Ghulam and captain on back-to-back deliveries while conceding no runs in the over. The right-arm pacer started his over with a dot ball to Kamran before trapping him lbw. After that, he dismissed Rizwan on the next delivery as the right-hander edged it to the keeper trying to go after an outside off delivery.

Hasnain bowled a great delivery to new batter Salman Agha but missed out on a hat-trick. Nonetheless, he managed to deliver an amazing over with two wickets and no runs coming from it.

Later in the game, Hasnain dismissed attacking batter Fakhar Zaman on a cheap score of just 11 runs in the seventh over. Hasnain finished the game with three wickets by giving just 25 runs in 9 overs at an economy rate of 2.77 as the Markhors managed to get just 137 runs in 36 overs.

Hasnain made his debut for Pakistan in 2019 but failed to make his spot permanent in the team. He played his last ODI in January 2023 and last featured in a T20I game in 2022. So far, Hasnain has played 9 ODIs and 27 T20Is for Pakistan with 37 wickets across two formats. He is yet to make his Test debut for Pakistan.
