On adulteration in the prasad of Tirupati temple, Puri Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati said, “Anarchic elements have entered the religious field…”

Raipur. Puri Peethadheeswar Shankaracharya Swami Nischalanand Saraswati is on a visit to Chhattisgarh. On Tuesday he spoke to the media in capital Raipur. On the issue of adulteration in Tirupati temple's Prasad, Puri's Shankaracharya Swami Nischalanand Saraswati said that such a situation has arisen because of greed for power. Anarchic elements have entered all areas. They have entered the religious areas as well and adulteration of unholy stuff is an attempt to make the Hindu religion extinct. Political patronage to criminals must stop. On the trend of increasing crimes in the country and the state, Shankaracharya said that when both the ruling party and the opposition will stop patronizing the criminals, then crimes will automatically reduce.

On the question of severe punishment to rapists, Shankaracharya said that such people should be given severe punishment. They should be punished like Duryodhan and Dushasan. On Pandit Pradeep Mishra's statement of burning rapists, he said that an elephant is not made to plough the field. Do not ask me to say anything on this. I am Shankaracharya, it does not look good if I comment on any storyteller. Ask those who organise stories on this subject, why do they organise stories from such a person?
