New Delhi. Monsoon is about to return now, but before that it is going to bring heavy rains in many states. The weather department has predicted that Himachal Pradesh may receive heavy to very heavy rains on 26 September, Uttarakhand on 26 and 27 September, Delhi along with western UP areas on 28 September and eastern UP areas from 27 to 29 September. The weather department has also predicted moderate rains in the Gangetic areas of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha till Saturday. There are chances of heavy rains in Sikkim and the northeastern states for the next 7 days. Very heavy rains are also expected in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha of Maharashtra.

Heavy rains may occur in Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Goa, Konkan, Saurashtra and Kutch of Gujarat from 27 September to 28 September. The Meteorological Department has predicted that heavy rains may occur in Telangana, coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Kerala and Karnataka till 30 September. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the monsoon will withdraw from Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana before 30 September. That means now the possibility of rain may end completely in these states after 5 days.
