Spy camera found in bathroom and bedroom of a student preparing for UPSC in Delhi, landlord's son arrested

New Delhi . Spy cameras have been found in the bathroom and bedroom of a student preparing for UPSC in Shakarpur, Delhi. The police have arrested the accused. The landlord's son had installed cameras on the floor of the student when she went to her village.

A few days ago, the student felt something was wrong with her Whatsapp. On checking, she found that WhatsApp was logged in on an unknown laptop. The girl got suspicious and informed the police about the matter. Shakarpur police station has seized both the cameras and arrested the accused Karan.

In her complaint to the Shakarpur police station, the victim said that a few days ago, she had some technical problems with her Whatsapp. She told this to her friends and asked for help to fix it. Her friend told her that her Whatsapp was logged in on someone else's device (mobile/laptop). The victim immediately logged out and searched her room on suspicion. She found a spy camera installed in the holder of the bathroom. She informed the police about the matter. When the police searched the girl's room, a spy camera was found installed in a bulb holder in the bedroom as well.

The victim told the police that whenever she went out of Delhi, she would often give the keys of her flat to the landlord's son Karan. During that time, he must have installed the cameras at both the places. The police took Karan into custody and started questioning him. He confessed his crime during the interrogation. He told that the girl had gone to the village for 3 months. During this time, the keys were with him. Taking advantage of this, he bought 3 spy cameras, out of which he installed 1 in the girl's bedroom and 1 in the bathroom.

The accused said that the installed cameras did not operate online. They had a memory cord. Therefore, to store the video, he used to ask for the keys from the girl in the name of electrical repair etc., so that he could transfer the video from the memory card to the laptop. He had logged into the girl's Whatsapp account on his laptop.
