The Election Commission of India team is on a two-day visit to Jharkhand. The team has held meetings regarding the suggestions and preparations of the political parties here. CCTV cameras will be installed at all polling stations. The tables of political parties will be at a distance of 200 meters from the polling station gate.

Instructions to keep a strict vigil on state borders

The Election Commissioner directed that the borders of the neighbouring states should be monitored closely. Special attention should be paid to any suspicious person or object. DC-SP have been directed to clear the drug cases in Ranchi, Khunti, Chatra and Latehar.

Chief Election Commissioner of India Rajiv Kumar said that instructions have been given to connect prominent sportspersons of the state with elections to make voters aware. Here, voters can be made aware through national hockey-football players and Chhau dance. Small documentaries can be made to make voters aware during elections. Also, the state's art-culture, sports and all its specialties can be used to make voters aware.
