Bollywood is a vast space where countless individuals try their luck. While some manage to make a lasting impact on the audience and at the box office, others fail to leave a mark. Similarly, there is an actress who moved to Mumbai—the city of dreams—with aspirations of becoming a leading star. However, despite her best efforts, she couldn’t win over the audience, and eventually, she completely vanished from the Bollywood industry. Interestingly, this actress shared screen space with one of the top heroes in the country—Salman Khan. Despite having a renowned co-star by her side, she couldn’t deliver a box office hit. For our readers to guess who this actress is, here’s a hint—she was often recognized as Katrina Kaif’s lookalike.

If you’re wondering who we’re talking about, it’s none other than Zareen Khan. She was once mistaken for being Katrina Kaif’s sister. Born on May 14, 1987, Zareen Khan is an Indian actress and model, primarily working in Hindi cinema. In addition to Bollywood, she has also appeared in Punjabi, Telugu, and Tamil films. Zareen made her debut in Yuvvraaj, which featured Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Zayed Khan. Her acting caught Salman’s eye, and later, the “Bhai” of the industry offered her a role in Veer. This film was Salman Khan’s dream project, and it took him years to bring it to the big screen. However, luck wasn’t on his side, and all those years of hard work fizzled out in an instant. The movie was made in a budget of Rs 63 crore and earned only Rs. 46 crore.

Interestingly, according to IMDb, Salman had written the script 20 years before the movie was made. When Veer, directed by Anil Sharma, finally hit the screens, it struggled to even recover its production costs. Zareen’s acting career saw a decline after Veer. Although she appeared in movies like Housefull 2 and Wajah Tum Ho, none of them generated the desired revenue. From 2010 to 2018, Zareen Khan was actively working in the film industry, but none of her films achieved significant success.

Her last release, Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele, hit the big screens in 2021. While Zareen is admired for her beauty and looks, her acting career never quite took off.
