Rahul Gandhi asks PM Modi to clarify on revoked farm laws after Kangana’s statement

New Delhi: Days after the actor-turned-politician and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut urged the farmers to urge the Centre to restore the three farm laws, which were repealed earlier, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to clarify whether his government against the Legislation or not.

In his video message on X, Rahul Gandhi asked on X, “ Who is deciding the government’s policy? A BJP MP or Prime Minister Modi? Even after deaths of over 700 farmers, especially farmers of Haryana and Punjab, the BJP people are not satisfied. INDIA will not allow any conspiracy of BJP against our farmers to succeed. If any step is taken to harm the farmers, PM Modi will have to apologise again.”

Kangana Ranaut finds herself in controversy

Earlier, Ranaut found herself in a controversy over her remarks on now-repealed three farm laws. The Opposition has accused the BJP of using Ranaut as a proxy to bring back these laws. As the controversy erupted, the BJP distanced itself from her comments and said that The Mandi MP made the statement was her personal and did not depict the BJP’s view on the bills.

Congress shared a video of Ranaut on Tuesday

On Tuesday, the Congress had shared a video of Kangana in which she can be heard saying that the farm laws should be brought back. The three farm laws were earlier repealed by the NDA Government in November 2021 after farmers from Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh staged massive protests.
