New Delhi: The rumours of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s divorce from husband Abhishek Bachchan have only gotten stronger. Amid public speculation of separation, Navya Nanda has made headlines for the possible shade thrown at her aunt, Aishwarya.

After the event concluded, Alia Bhatt shared a bunch of her favourite moments from the show, including pictures with Aishwarya. However, when Navya Nanda simply replied with a star emoji and did not acknowledge her aunt’s presence in the post, so, netizens went berserk.
Not many are aware of the fact that Alia is also Navya’s aunt in blood relation. That’s right, Navya’s father Nikhil Nanda is from the Kapoor family and is Ranbir Kapoor’s first cousin. What seems like a light-hearted interaction between the celebs turned into an online discourse.

Reddit, especially doubled down on Navya’s cunning comment. Some alleged that Navya was aware that this move would bring her attention. Another Redditor went on to call Navya a ‘mini Shweta’. For context, The Bachchan family has always been accused of mistreating Aishwarya Rai. So, her husband’s sister, Shweta Bachchan, is also painted as an evil in-law. Giving another push to the speculations of the Bachchan family feud, Navya’s simple comment seems to have brought forth a thunderstorm of hate.
Netizens have argued that this is not the first time Aishwarya has been excluded from the Bachchan family. During the 2023 Paris Fashion Week, Shweta Bachchan, Navya Nanda’s mother, posted about the event without acknowledging Aishwarya.
