New Delhi: Indian cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni landed in Ranchi, his hometown after a vacation with his friends in the United States of America.
After a long vacation, Dhoni is back in his hometown and the iconic cricketer wasted no time to get back to his family and spend time with his friends and dogs. The former India skipper was seen at the Ranchi airport on Wednesday morning upon his arrival in Jharkhand’s capital.

After arriving in Ranchi, Dhoni went straight home and was seen playing with a dog, which didn’t look like one of his own. The clip has gone viral since surfacing on social media this evening.

Dhoni was seen vacationing in the USA earlier this month with his friends. Following the conclusion of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Dhoni is spending some quality time with his loved ones.
Dhoni’s last action on the cricket field was during Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) league match loss against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
The former CSK skipper was spotted bonding with his friends over an American football (NFL) game in Michigan. One of his friends, Hitesh Sanghvi, shared a post on Instagram, showing the memorable moments of the friends enjoying their time during and after the journey.
Dhoni’s IPL future still undecided
Dhoni, who relinquished his CSK captaincy ahead of the IPL 2024, is still unsure of his future in the cash-rich T20 League. Some reports suggest that Dhoni might play as an uncapped player.
As a report in Cricbuzzthe Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) is pondering a move to classify retired international players as uncapped.
Meanwhile, Dhoni is waiting for the announcement of the new retention policy from BCCI before making a call on his future.
