Let us tell you that Kangana Ranaut had said that the three agricultural laws that have been abolished should be repealed. BJP had distanced itself from her statement. Kangana Ranaut, the first-time MP from Mandi Lok Sabha seat, took back her words by releasing a video message on Wednesday. Kangana said that in the last few days the media questioned me on the agricultural law and I suggested that farmers should request the Prime Minister to repeal these laws. Many people are disappointed with this statement of mine.

Kangana has now also realized that she is a BJP leader and will have to speak with caution. She said that when the agricultural laws were introduced, many of us supported it, but the Prime Minister withdrew the laws with sensitivity and sympathy. It is the duty of all of us workers to respect the dignity of his words. I also have to keep in mind that I am no longer an artist but a BJP worker. My views should not be my own, they should be the stand of the party. Kangana said that if her words and thinking have disappointed anyone, she will regret it and she takes back her words.

Kangana Ranaut, while talking to the media after a meeting with workers in the market, had made a statement about agricultural laws saying that her statement could be controversial. As Kangana feared, her statement went viral on social media. All opposition parties including Congress latched on to it and started besieging the BJP. Seeing the possibility of damage from such a statement amid the Haryana Assembly Elections, the BJP did not delay in distancing itself from the statement. BJP Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia issued a statement last Tuesday night saying that what Kangana said could be her personal opinion, not that of the party. Kangana has already been warned by the party to speak carefully.
