AUS gets hooted by spectators as they got caught cheating against ENG

The fourth match of the five-match ODI series between Australia and England. During the 17th over of England’s innings, Australian wicketkeeper Jos Inglis took a catch, which was not a complete catch. Even though the catch was not complete, the field umpire declared him out and the Australian players started celebrating without waiting for a second.

Though after a discussion, both the umpires went to the third umpire to check the catch, where it was clearly visible that the ball had fallen in front of wicketkeeper’s gloves.

In the 5th ball of 17th over, Harry Brook took the delivery from Mitchell Starc outside the leg side. The ball hit the edge of the bat and went behind him, where Josh Inglis made a dive to his lift side and caught the ball and immediately started celebrating with his teammates. Umpire Joel Wilson felt the catch was taken correctly and gave the decision of an out.

Both the umpires asked the third umpire to recheck the catch where the replay clearly showed the ball to have fallen on the ground before it went to the gloves. As soon as the replay came on the big screen, the spectators in the stadium started hooting.
