Blackpink’s Rosé enjoys pho noodle soup in Paris

A video of Rosé, a member of South Korean girl group Blackpink, enjoying a bowl of pho, Vietnam’s traditional noodle soup, in Paris has gone viral, garnering 2.8 million likes on social media.

In the video titled “48 Hours in Paris,” posted on her TikTok account with 44 million followers, Rosé surprised Vietnamese fans by squeezing lime into her pho bowl, which was filled with chili, fresh herbs, and bean sprouts.

The video quickly spread across social media, accumulating over 14,000 comments with questions about the lime squeezing, which is a common way of eating pho in Vietnam.

An extract from a video on Blackpink’s Rosé’s TikTok channel shows her squeezing lime juice into her pho bowl at a restaurant in Paris.

Rosé mentioned that she enjoyed the pho right after attending the Saint Laurent show at Paris Fashion Week.

PhoVietnam’s national dish, typically features a chicken or beef broth that simmers for at least three hours.

This isn’t the first time Rosé has shown her love for Vietnamese cuisine while abroad.

During the second night of Blackpink’s “Born Pink” concert in Hanoi in July 2023, she also enjoyed pho at a luxury restaurant in their hotel.

Additionally, fans spotted her at a Vietnamese restaurant called VietKitchen in Barcelona during Blackpink’s European tour in 2022.

Rosé, born Park Chae Young, is a 27-year-old Korean-New Zealand singer. Raised in Australia, she signed with YG Entertainment after a 2012 audition. Following four years of training, she debuted as the main vocalist of Blackpink in August 2016. In March 2021, she made her solo debut with the single album “R.”
