Sri Lankan batsman equaled Sir Don Bradman's two records, left Pakistani player behind too

Delhi: Sri Lankan cricket team's star cricketer Kamindu Mendis scored an unbeaten 182* while scoring a brilliant century in the second test match against New Zealand on Friday, i.e. 27th September. With this excellent performance, he has equaled two important records of the great Australian batsman Don Bradman.

Mendis completed 1,000 runs in Test cricket in just 13 innings, making him the fastest Asian player to reach this milestone. Earlier, Vinod Kambli of India had made this record in 14 innings. With this, Mendis also equaled Don Bradman's record of 1,000 runs in 13 innings, which he had achieved in 1930.

Not only this, Kamindu also completed his fifth century in his 13th Test innings, breaking the record of Pakistani batsman Fawad Alam. Fawad Alam had scored five centuries in 22 innings, but Mendis achieved this feat in 13 innings. With this, he touched another achievement of Don Bradman, who had scored his first five centuries in 13 Test innings.
