'Suraksha kawach': Netizens roast Bhumi Pednekar for her snake breastplate saree look

New Delhi: Actress Bhumi Pednekar graced the 2024 GQ Best Dressed Awards on Friday (September 28) night. The pictures and videos of her OOTD (Outfit Of The Day) for the event went viral in no time and not for the right reason. The actress, who wore a Raw Mango saree with a unique snake breastplate, was brutally trolled for her choice of outfit.

For the event, Bhumi opted for a white colour blouse and saree teamed up with a snake pattern breastplate. However, her look was heavily criticised on social media with many comparing her to social media sensation Uorfi Javed.

Actress Bhumi Pednekar’s snake breastplate look did not go down well with social media influencers and fashion influencers. As soon as the videos and pictures surfaced on the web, netizens flooded the comment section with sarcasm while others compared her with Uorfi Javed.

Internet sensation Diet Sabya called jer look “naagincore”.

About Bhumi Pednekar’s customised outfit

Bhumi Pednekar wore a customised glass breastplate, featuring two bronze gold snakes and a snake pattern on the neckline. She wore a strapless white blouse which featured a plunging neckline. She teamed it with a printed cotton saree that she draped like a lehenga, leaving behind a long train. She completed her look with glass bangles, a gold snake bracelet, a hath phool, and snake-designed earrings.
