BSNL joins Jio and Airtel, reduces validity of Rs 485 recharge plan

Jio, Airtel, and Vi had increased the recharge plan for up to 15 per cent in July this year. The price hike was on prepaid and postpaid recharge plans of these telecom operators. With such high number of telecom subscribers, a lot of Indian started shifting to the state-owned BSNL which provides them cheap recharge plan. Now the state-owned telecom company has even revised one of its popular recharge plans. It has reduced the validity it offers with its Rs 485 recharge plan in the latest revision. Earlier, BSNL was providing 82 days validity with the recharge of Rs 485. Now, the company has reduced the validity by 2 days with its recharge plan of Rs 485 to provide 80 days validity. The company has increased the data benefit with this recharge plan. With this recharge plan subscribers earlier used to get 1.5GB daily data but now they will get 2GB daily data for 80 days.

Simply put, it means that BSNL has reduced the validity period of the recharge plan by two days but has still given 40GB more data at the same prices.

Now with this recharging plan, BSNL Rs 485 recharge plans will offer 2GB of daily data along with unlimited calling for 80 days.

BSNL recently expanded to Phobrang in Ladakh, where it has reached a height of 14,500 feet. The DoT has therefore issued the formal intimation with regard to this development. In another report, BSNL’s 4G service covers Malapu in Arunachal Pradesh.

The DoT also circulated a video showing the arrival of mobile network services in Nabi – the first village where a telephone call was made. The present improvement, in this aspect, states that this village in Uttarakhand lacked telecommunication facilities before this launch, but mobile network coverage now touches the 98 percent mark, even for some remote mountain villages in India.
