Kulgam. Encounter with terrorists in Kulgam: An encounter is going on between security forces and terrorists in Adigam Devsar area of Kulgam, Kashmir. Three army soldiers and one policeman were injured in this encounter. The injured have been admitted to the hospital and are undergoing treatment. “Based on intelligence inputs, a joint operation was launched today between the Indian Army and Arigam, Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir,” the Army said in a statement on social media. The terrorists opened indiscriminate fire during the search operation.
According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, an encounter is going on in Adigam Devsar area of Kulgam. Police and security forces are present at the spot. More details will be shared soon. Meanwhile, additional security forces have been called to prevent the terrorists from escaping.
Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and security agencies are also involved in this operation. The administration is keeping an eye on the entire situation. Terrorists are continuously trying to spread unrest in Jammu and Kashmir. In this connection, continuous search operation is being conducted in the valley to eliminate the terrorists.
6 terrorists were arrested
On Friday, police busted a terrorist module in Awantipora, Pulwama (Encounter with terrorists in Kulgam). Police have arrested 6 terrorist associates of Jaish-e-Mohammed. They used to give terrorism training to the youth. Police have recovered 5 IEDs, 30 detonators, 17 IED batteries, 2 pistols, 3 magazines, 25 rounds, 4 hand grenades and Rs 20,000 from them. The police took this action after receiving the information.
