He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided that Naxalite violence and ideology will be eliminated from the country.

Amit Shah News: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday appealed to the Naxalites to give up violence and lay down their arms and surrender and also warned that if they did not do so, a massive campaign would be launched against them.

Addressing the 55 victims of Naxalite attack in Chhattisgarh from his residence here, Shah also said that Maoism will be eliminated by March 31, 2026. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided that Naxalite violence and ideology will be eliminated from the country.

Shah said, “I appeal to the Naxalites to give up violence, lay down their arms and surrender as the militants of the Northeast have done. If you do not listen to me, a massive campaign will soon be launched to eliminate this menace.

The Union Home Minister said that the security forces have achieved significant success in their operations against the Maoists and the problem is now limited to just four districts of Chhattisgarh.

He said that Maoists had once conspired to build a corridor from Pashupatinath (Nepal) to Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), but the Modi government foiled it.

Shah said that the Home Ministry will soon prepare a welfare scheme for the people affected by Naxal violence in Chhattisgarh in collaboration with the state government. He said, “We will help you in every possible way through welfare measures in jobs, healthcare and other areas.”
