More than 27 thousand hectares of pasture land freed from encroachment in Uttar Pradesh

Taking a big step towards cow conservation in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government has freed thousands of hectares of grazing land from illegal encroachers. Following the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Revenue Department has launched a special campaign and freed more than 27 thousand hectares of grazing land from illegal encroachers. Under this campaign, 100 percent grazing land in 12 districts of the state has now become free from encroachment. The Chief Minister has given instructions to carry forward the campaign rapidly in other districts also.

In Ayodhya, more than two thousand hectares of land was encroached upon by illegal encroachers, which has been freed. According to the information given by the Revenue Department, apart from Ayodhya, more than 27 thousand 688 hectares of land was freed from encroachment in Agra, Firozabad, Kasganj, Barabanki, Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharthnagar, Chitrakoot, Shravasti, Rampur, Ghazipur and Varanasi. Is. The concerned officers of the districts have been instructed to prepare a list of village-wise Gochar land.

The Chief Minister has said that after the rains, a comprehensive campaign should be launched to free the pasture land from encroachment. After being free from encroachment, the land should be used by the Animal Husbandry Department. CM Yogi has also given instructions to make an actual assessment of destitute cattle in urban and rural areas and construct additional sheds in cow shelter sites. There should be proper arrangements for cleanliness of cow shelters. There should not be any situation of mud and waterlogging anywhere. There should be proper arrangement of straw, green fodder, water etc. in all shelter places. There should be arrangements to bury the dead cattle with respect and proper method.
