Top five all-time leading goal scorers

The Indian Super League (ISL) season 11 is in full swing and continues to fascinate fans worldwide.

Over the years ISL has witnessed outstanding performances from both Indian and international footballers over the years.

Sunil Chhetri etched his name in the record books by surpassing Bartholomew Ogbeche to become the ISL’s top scorer today.

1. Sunil Chhetri – 64 Goals

On September 28, 2024, Sunil Chhetri claimed the top spot on the ISL’s all-time scorers list, breaking Bartholomew Ogbeche’s record.

With 64 goals to his name, Chhetri stands as a symbol of consistency and excellence in Indian football.

Since his debut in the league in 2016, the Bengaluru FC captain has been a vital part of his team’s success.

Known for his discipline and leadership, Chhetri continues to inspire with his ability to perform at the highest level year after year.

2. Bartholomew Ogbeche – 63 Goals

Bartholomew Ogbeche, with 63 goals, had held the ISL’s top scorer title until Chhetri overtook him.

The Nigerian striker left his mark by playing for four different ISL clubs, with his most successful stint coming at Hyderabad FC.

Ogbeche’s standout season saw him score 18 goals and win the Golden Boot, helping Hyderabad FC claim their first ISL title.

Despite retiring in 2023, Ogbeche remains one of the most clinical strikers the league has ever seen.

3. Roy Krishna – 56Goals

Roy Krishna has been one of the most impactful foreign players in the ISL, with 56 goals to his credit.

The Fijian striker helped ATK win the league in the 2019-20 season and continues to be a key player for Odisha FC.

4. Ferran Corominas – 48 Goals

Ferran Corominas, better known as “Coro,” was one of the most feared strikers during his time with FC Goa.

With 48 goals and 16 assists in just 57 matches, Coro dominated the league from 2017 to 2020.

He won the Golden Boot twice and helped FC Goa reach new heights.

Although he left the league in 2020, his legacy as one of the most prolific scorers remains intact.

5. Diego Maurício Machado de Brito – 40 goals

Mauricio, yet another player from Odisha FC is the player who is fifth on the list. The main man of Sergio Lobera’s army has scored 40 goals from 74 games.
