Apple Intelligence, redesigned Siri and more

Delhi Delhi. Apple is slowly getting closer to releasing its next major iPhone update with iOS 18.1. It will be packed with Apple Intelligence, which is Apple's answer to Galaxy AI and Google AI. Apple Intelligence was not part of the initial iOS 18 version, which was to be rolled out earlier this month, it was announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference. Instead, Apple opted to take some time to improve its AI capabilities and delayed the rollout until later this year. That time is very near.

In addition to Apple Intelligence, iOS 18.1 will also bring notable improvements to the iPhone software. Although not every iOS 18-compatible iPhone model will support the upcoming iOS 18.1 features, the latest iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro lineups will be eligible. Here's a list of all the Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) capabilities that come to eligible iPhone devices.

Writing tools: Apple Intelligence will provide various tools to allow users to proofread, rewrite, or reformat text.Memory in Photos

Movies: The Apple Photos app will gain the capabilities to create movies through a description that will serve as an AI prompt.

Clean Up in Photos: This tool will let users remove unwanted objects and people from photos using AI.

Notification summaries: AI will summarize notifications to provide insightful and actionable prompts.

Priority messages in Mail: The Mail app will show important emails on top of other emails with tools to take immediate action.

Natural language in Photos: The Photos app will also let users find the right photos and videos using search.

Siri: Apple's digital voice assistant Siri will have AI capabilities that will allow users to seek complex answers through text and voice input. But more importantly, Siri will be getting a new look where it will illuminate the borders of the iPhone screen instead of a bottom-centered animation.

Smart replies in Mail and Messages: The Mail and Messages app will also have a Smart Reply option that will give users suggestions based on the context of the email or message.
