Spotify is experiencing a widespread outage at the moment, affecting hundreds of users around the world, who reported on X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit that the app and website have been unresponsive for nearly an hour. The company took immediate action and posted an acknowledgment on X, confirming the outage. The world's leading music streaming company said it is aware of the service downtime and is working to fix it.
The Spotify status account on Spotify also has an update for users on its community site. “We are receiving some reports that Spotify is down on all platforms. The support site also appears to be affected. While posts on On the dedicated outage page for Spotify, many users are also saying that they are unable to listen to music or podcasts on the app or website. However, it is unclear which apps are affected by the outage.
Spotify has not yet responded to whether the issue has been fixed or what caused it. According to The Verge, the outage mostly affected users in the US, but there are sporadic reports from India on the Indian version of DownDetector. However, in the Republic we were able to use Spotify and its services without any problems.
