Himalayan 450 launched in the Indian market with tubeless spoke wheels, know everything from price to features

Bike News Desk – Royal Enfield launched the Himalayan 450 late last year. Which has also received good response from customers. At the same time, the company had introduced tubeless spoke wheels in its debut, but it was not a part of the options list. The reason for this was that the brand was awaiting homologation approval. After waiting for almost a year, the company has announced the prices of tubeless spoke wheels. The ex-showroom price of Himalayan 450 is Rs 2.85 lakh. These prices go up to Rs 2.98 lakh.

The price of one set is Rs 11,000. This can be selected with accessories. Royal Enfield allows existing customers to upgrade their wheels by paying Rs 12,424. For new buyers, it will be available in a range of colors including Kaza Brown, Slate Himalayan Salt, Slate Himalayan Poppy Blue, Comet White and Hanley Black. The tubeless cross-spoke wheels will be available across RE authorized showrooms from October 3, 2024. The absence of an inner tube in a tubeless tire means that the possibility of sudden bursting is reduced.

When it is punctured, the air slowly comes out, giving the rider time to control the motorcycle. Tubeless tires are generally lighter than tube-type tires, reducing the overall weight of the vehicle. They also have better fuel efficiency, as they have less rolling resistance. These can be easily repaired using liquid sealant or a puncture repair kit without removing the tire from the rim. It is more convenient and faster than tube-type tire repair.
