While some of the older sections of the palace used to be called Darbal Hall, Saif feels it is now quite old and should now be called the Long Room. He also told that this house was built by the 7th Nawab of Pataudi Khandar along with his father and he now wants to keep things related to Tiger's cricket there as memories.
Saif also told during this time that when his father had given Pataudi Palace to the hotel, his grandmother had told him not to do this. There is a lot of history in it and I am proud of it too.
Saif took back the palace from the hotel
This palace was built by Saif Ali Khan's grandfather for the actor's grandmother 100 years ago. After the death of his grandfather, Saif's father Mansoor Ali Khan then leased this palace to Neemrana Hotel. Because Saif was emotionally attached to it, he took it back from the hotel company.
