CDSCO's warning: Diabetes and BP medicines can be dangerous!

CDSCO A quality audit conducted in August by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that many medications, including sugar, vitamins and bacterial infections in children, did not meet quality standards. People use many of these medicines every day.

CDSCO: A recent report released by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has revealed some drugs which are used for treatment but have failed the tests. This includes some medications that are commonly used by people, including calcium and vitamin D pills from some companies.

This medicine to treat blood pressure failed!

The drugs declared failed by CDSCO include Pentocid tablets, which are used to treat acid reflux. It is manufactured by Sun Pharma, which failed the trial. Calcium and vitamin D tablets, shellac and Pulmosil injection are used to treat high blood pressure. These medicines also failed in testing. Alkem Health Sciences' antibiotic Clavam 625 also failed drug testing.

Medicines for liver diseases failed

CDSCO has released a list of counterfeit, adulterated and misbranded drugs, medical devices, vaccines and cosmetics, which include Pulmosil (sildenafil injection), Pentocid (pantoprazole tablets IP), Ursocol 300 (ursodeoxycholic acid tablets Indian Pharmacopoeia), Ursocol Contains 300 tablets. Used in the treatment of gall bladder. It also helps in treating some liver diseases. This medicine is from Sun Pharma.

Telma H (telmisartan 40 mg and hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg tablets IP), deflazacort tablets (deflazacort 6 tablets) also failed the test. Apart from this, CDSCO has released a list of 48 medicines which are not of standard quality. Along with this, the companies manufacturing these medicines have also commented on this. CDSCO is the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization of India, which grants licenses to bring new drugs and medical devices into the market.
