New Delhi: For quite a while now, social media has been abuzz with rumours of renowned YouTuber Gaurav Taneja’s divorce from his wife Ritu Rathee. It is being said that the social media star is going through a rough patch in his marriage and is heading for separation. To provide a reality check on the situation, Ritu took to Instagram on Monday (September 30, 2024) and issued a video statement.
“I am with the children and I am totally fine. There was a video with a hidden identity and personal questions asked. Was it me? Yes. But some people needed a twist, so here are some facts. Am I a helpless woman? No, I am not,” she said. Ritu was apparently referring to a viral clip in which a woman who appeared to be her was asking about her future at a religious gathering. Ritu further questioned if there was any relationship where one never got hurt.

“I am capable of raising my children. Have you ever thought about how? Not just because I am a pilot, but because the same man over these eight years made me equally capable of raising my children alone,” she stated. Ritu added that whatever personal issues she has, if she wanted to make those public, she would have used social media.

“If I didn’t break my silence today, it would have been highly unfair to someone else,” Ritu further said. “I cannot forget the eight years I spent with that man and I respect him for that,” she mentioned. Ritu urged others to stay out of this matter.
