Congress leader had written a letter and complained

Jairam Ramesh, in a letter to the commission, said, “In the last two hours between 9 am and 11 am, the speed of updating of results on the commission's website was quite slow. As you can imagine, this can lead to people with ill intentions creating stories that undermine the process. You can already see examples of this on social media. ,

The commission called the allegations baseless

In response to this complaint, the Commission said that the counting of votes is being done as per Rule 60 of the Election Conduct Rules at the designated counting centers and by the designated authorities following the statutory and regulatory arrangements. The Commission said that the entire counting process in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir is being done as per the rules in the presence of candidates, observers and micro-observers. In response to the Congress leader's complaint, the Election Commission said, “There is nothing on record to prove your baseless allegation of delay in updating the results. There is also no contrary fact in your memorandum regarding delay in any constituency of Haryana or Jammu and Kashmir.”
