Fifty-day run in theaters is no small feat in today’s film industry: Ganesh

“Winning the hearts of the audience is the ultimate victory,” said Golden Star Ganesh, talking about the success of his film Krishnam Pranaya Sakhiwhich recently celebrated its 50-day run. The event took place at the iconic Woodlands cinema during the vibrant Dasara festival in Mysuru recently.

The film, released on August 15, has been hailed as a musical blockbuster and marked the debut of Malvika Nair. It stars Sharanya Shetty alongside Ganesh along with Sadhu Kokila, Shruti and Giri in pivotal roles. In his interaction, Ganesh referred to cinema theatres as temples and the audience as gods, explaining the sacred bond between films and their viewers.

Director Srinivas Raju and producer Prashant G Rudrappa also expressed their gratitude for the film’s success, as they recognised the audience’s evolving preferences and thanked everyone involved for their hard work and dedication.

As Mysuru celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Dasara, this event served as a vibrant reminder of the film’s impact. Reflecting on the achievement, Ganesh said, “In an era where films struggle to run for even five to seven days, completing fifty days is no small feat. This is a triumph for Kannada cinema lovers, and I dedicate this success to them. I am thankful to the director, producer, and the entire team.”

He also shared his joy in fulfilling a promise made during the film’s first song launch in Mysuru: “I had said then that we would celebrate the film’s 50th day in Mysuru, and I am glad those words came true.”

With this celebration, Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi not only marks a successful run but also strengthens the bond between filmmakers and their audience.
