On this special occasion of the year, we will teach you how to make a delicious snack recipe, which once you start eating, you will not be able to stop. The name of this wonderful snack is Namkeen Poha Ka Chivda. This namkeen tastes spicy and is made by mixing spices, dry fruits, makhana, sev, salt and sugar etc. There are many unique ways to prepare this namkeen but today we will teach you how to make Chivda recipe in Maharashtrian style. In this recipe, along with cashews and peanuts, we will also use a mixture of dry coconut and raisins. If you or people in your family like spicy food, then you can also fry green chillies and add it. So, without any delay, let us know how to make this salty Poha.

Salty Ingredients
2 cups thin poha
2 tbsp oil
1/4 cup peanuts
1/4 cup cashew nuts
1/4 cup roasted chana dal
10-15 curry leaves
1 green chilli, chopped, optional
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
salt to taste
Poha Namkeen Recipe
First of all, take a heavy bottomed kadhai or pan and add 2 cups of poha in it.
Heat it on low flame and fry the poha until it becomes crisp. When the poha is roasted, take it out in a separate plate.
Wipe the same pan and heat 2 tablespoons of oil in it.
Add 1/4 cup peanuts and fry for a minute.
Add 1/4 cup cashew nuts and fry for 30 seconds.
Now add 1 chopped green chilli, 1/4 cup roasted chana dal, 10-15 curry leaves, 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds and a pinch of asafoetida.
Fry all the dry fruits until they become light golden.
Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon powdered sugar and salt as per taste. mix well.
Add the roasted poha and mix well by stirring the mixture slowly with a ladle.
Taste the chivda and increase or decrease the spices (sugar and salt) as per your taste.
Your poha namkeen is ready to serve.
Let it cool completely before storing in an airtight container. It remains good for 2-3 weeks.
