Filmmaker and director Karan Johar was also honored with the National Award. He was awarded the Best Film Award in the AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics) category for the film 'Brahmastra'.

Mithun honored with Dadasaheb Phalke Award
Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty was honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the National Film Awards ceremony. President Draupadi Murmu presented him the award with his own hands. After receiving the award he also gave a speech and advised people to never give up.

Sooraj Barjatya and Neena Gupta also received awards
