Modi praised the participation of the residents of Jammu and Kashmir, saying, “I appreciate every person of Jammu and Kashmir for this.” He expressed pride in the performance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and thanked the supporters for reposing faith in the party. BJP emerged as the second largest party in the assembly by winning 29 seats, which is better than the 25 seats it won in the 2014 elections.

The Prime Minister assured citizens that the BJP will continue to work for their welfare and lauded the dedicated efforts of party workers, known as karyakartas. He said, “I assure the people that we will continue to work for the welfare of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Apart from praising the achievements of the BJP, Modi also acknowledged the commendable performance of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) in the elections and highlighted the importance of a competitive political environment.
