Apple’s highly-anticipated iOS 18.1 update with AI features will be rolling out soon, and we now have a release date for the new version which will also give us the new-look Siri. Reports coming this week claim the new iOS 18 version will be hitting the eligible iPhones by the end of this month. We already know that only iPhone 15 Pro and higher models will be getting the Apple Intelligence features but iOS 18.1 will be coming to iPhones as old as the iPhone Xs.

iOS 18.1 Apple Intelligence Features – Coming On This Date?

The report from Bloomberg claims Apple will release the iOS 18.1 update on October 28 which is three weeks from now. The source mentioned in the report has a solid record, so it is quite likely that iPhone users might see the new update alert pop-up on the said date.

The Apple AI update includes enhanced photo search capabilities, a more intuitive Siri, improved writing tools and creative innovations like Image Playground and Genmoji. Other key features of Apple Intelligence include an improved Photos App, Notification summaries, Priority Messages in Mail, Smart replies and more.

Ahead of its release, the tech giant, in the latest iOS 18.1 Developer Beta 5 update, has revealed how much storage space these features will require in your device. It stated, “Apple Intelligence is available on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, all iPhone 16 models, and iPad and Mac models with M1 and later. iPhone devices need 4GB of storage.”

This means if a user wants to access the Apple AI features on their compatible devices, they need to keep 4GB available to run these features.

The iOS 18.1 update is coming to the US as part of the iOS 18.1 update this month. However, it is expected to be released in New Zealand, Canada, Australia, South Africa and the UK later this year.

While countries like India, France, Japan, Spain, Singapore, and Vietnam will only get the Apple AI update next year.
